Specialty Lighting Shop
Vitoria-Gasteiz 1990/1991

A small shop dedicated to lamp and lighting sales is always conditioned by the display of that lighting.
The wide variety of these items and their divers typology do not allow for the rational process of shelf and exhibition case design.
The lighting of the shop, which both illuminates and displays, gives us the key to the intervention. The presence of a circulation element, the ramp, as a dynamic element that yields to the smaller items, mostly lamps, and their light, resolves both conflicts.

Parameters should also allow the presence of wall lights, shelves, etc., and so they are designed neutrally on an electric grid.
The layout of the inclined shop allows for the entire display to be seen from outside.
The customer service area is located at the back, at the top of the ramp, and has a metal staircase which leads to the storage area above.
